What Causes Gurgling And Bubbling Sounds In Abdomen Along With Excess Farting?

Hi, I have loud gurgling and bubble sounds coming from my stomach which leads to excess farting. The gurgling nose and bubbles are not related to hunger or anything like that as it can also happen after I've eaten. I've had this for a few months on and off but have passed it off as nothing serious. However, it's only recently that once I press my lower stomach and abdomen area I can hear the bubbles loudly and the stomach till lower abdomen are quite tender when pressure is applied. It has begun to really worry me as I don't know what this could be. I do not have constipation but I feel like the bubbles and gurgling sounds are serious as I can feel the bubbles and gurgling moving around within my stomach and like I said is very loud and sometimes uncomfortable and embarrassing. What could this be? Thanks for your help

Hi..
Welcome to HEALTHCARE MAGIC..

I have gone through your query and can understand your concerns..

As per your complain gurgling and bubbling in stomach along with farting seems to be due to excess formation of intestinal gas and can occur due to a number of causes like excess intake of heavy meals, excess intake of fatty foods and dairy products, eating too fats, over intake of carbonated drinks, frequent chewing of chewing gums and sucking candies while certain medical conditions like Intestinal obstruction, Irritable bowel syndrome, lactose intolerance, Celiac disease can also cause the symptoms that you are experiencing..
I would suggest you to consult a Gastroenterologist and get evaluated and a thorough clinical evaluation and investigations like Colonoscopy, ultrasound, blood tests etc can help in diagnosis and treatment can be done according to the cause..
Treating the cause will relieve the symptoms..
You can also take Simethicone as it helps in reducing intestinal gas..
Take small and light meals frequently..
Do moderate workout..
Drink plenty of water..
Take short walk after meals..
Sleep atleast 2 hours after meals..

Hope this information helps..

Thanks and regards.
