Hello! My stomach constantly makes this gurgling noise, as if I have gas but I definitely do not. I have also recently been experiencing some abdominal pain. And today after intercourse with my husband, I experienced severe lower abdominal pain for about 15 minutes after. I am unsure of what the issue is
Hi, Gurgling sounds could be normal or abnormal. Normally, it occurs due to passing of food through intestine, gas forming foods, high carbohydrates diet, drinking of alcohol or anxiety and stress. Abnormal causes are indigestion, dyspepsia, irritable bowel syndrome, acute gastroenteritis, acute intestinal obstruction etc. Diagnosis can be done by routine blood, clinical examination, X- ray abdomen, ultrasound of abdomen or lastly endoscopy of GIT. Treatment is generally depend on underlying cause but you may take digestive engymes, antispasmodics or broad spectrum antibiotics with anarobic coverage after consultation of gastroenterologist.
