What Causes Hand Spasms While On Lyrica?

I was told that my kidneys had stopped processing my Lyrica medication when I was in the hospital. I had lost control of my fingers, they were having spasms in the beginning with my right hand and then both hands. They stopped my Lyrica for 3 days then told me my kidneys were ok again & started my Lyrica again. Now after 3 weeks I m having slight spasms in my right hand again. Now I m afraid to take my Lyrica.

General & Family Physician 's  Response
HI, thanks for using healthcare magic

That it quite an understandable reaction, I believe most persons would be apprehensive about using any medication after this effect.

Since you are experiencing the spasms again , it would be best to see your doctor for an assessment.

He or she may also suggest alternative medications to use instead of the lyrica that you may be able to tolerate.

I hope this helps
