What Causes Hand To Freeze Suddenly?
Re my left hand, when on the elliptical my left hand sometimes freezes on the bar and I have to think it open. My right hand hurts at the thumb and wrist especially when I attempt doing the plank from a hands position. I can do it if I use my fingers rather than the palm of my right hand. I have an appointment scheduled the week after next with a hand specialist.

Conditions like acute vascular occlusion must be ruled out. If symptoms persist better to consult a general surgeon and plan for a vascular Doppler.
