What Causes Hands, Feet And Lips Cyanosis With Vomiting?

Daughter has twin 9-month old baby boys. Called me tonight because she has noticed that one has dark blue/purple hands and feet, lips slightly cyanotic looking. Child is healthy and happy, altho has had vomiting problems with food for some time which pediatrician feels is ok. What would cause sudden discoloration like this? Thanks....
