Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
My son is 24.He has had episodes of his hands shaking very badly. He has been to the Dr. several times with no answers to why this happens. He has had his sugar checked they said he was not a diabetic. His hands were shaking and he could not control them. We checked his blood pressure and it was high. That only lasted a few seconds and it was down. They can not find out what is going on with him. These episodes do not last long but he has passed out before. I would appreciate any help you can give me. Thank You
HI Well come to HCM I really appreciate your concern, in young age such hand tremor is very common and this could be due to some functional elements, probably anxiety and depression might the cause, ( essential tremors), however neurological disorders could be the cause, but it has got the several reason, and for that physical examination and numbers of tests needed, but chances of this is very less likely particularly in this case, still to rule out the neurological etiology consult the neurophysician, till then "Tab propranolol" can be tried, hope this information helps, have a nice day.
