Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
I have a few small hard free floating lumps in my mouth. Not even half the size of a pea. They are located on the left side of my jaw near where I place smokeless tobacco. They are were my inner cheek stops and gums start. They didn t hurt until I started messing with them.
The hard lump in oral cavity could be sub mucus fibrosis. Sub mucus fibrosis are common in people who chew tobacco and are fore-runners of oral cancer. I suggest you to consult a oral surgeon for clinical assessment and biopsy if required of the oral lesions.
Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards,
Dr. Shailja Puri, Pathologist and Microbiologist
