What Causes Hard Lump After Being Bitten By A Spider?

I think I was bitten by a spider on my face, my doctor gave me antibiotics and the swelling went down a lot, but there's a hard lump about the size of a marble that's underneath where the bite was. I don't know what kind of spider it is either. Will it go away?

I have gone through your query and can understand your concerns..

As per your complain it seems that you have got an allergic reaction to the toxic chemical that is left under the skin by the spider bite leading to swelling as well as a hard lump seems to be due to inflammation of soft tissues as well as there can also be Hematoma formation leading to formation of hard lump..
I would suggest you to take anti allergics like Levocetrizines..
You can also do alternate warm and cool compresses over the lump..
Apply a steroid gel over the lump..
You can also take anti inflammatory painkiller like Ibuprofen in case if there is pain..
In case if there is no resolution in a week consult a General Physician and get evaluated ..
