General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hi,
It seems that you have had a very deep injury with the impact. The hard lump and bruise are mainly due to local collection of blood that commonly occurs due to subcutaneous accumulation of the blood.
The hard lumps are presumably due to local clots which shall heal on their own as part of their natural history. You may try Thrombophobe ointment. for local application five times a day and an antibiotic Tablet Ciprofloxacin 500 mg twice a day after food for five days.
It is also advisable to take Tetanus Toxoid if there was contamination of the wound during this eventful episode.
Hope this helps.
