What Causes Hard Lump In The Labia?

Hi, i have noticed a hard lump in my labia. Its equivalent to the size of a grain of rice, but more rounded, not elongated. It appears through the skin to be dark in colour. It moves, not with the skin as such, but moves around under the skin. It is not sore or itchy. What could this be?

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hi,

Labia and vulva has a number of oily glands which can get clogged or obstructed leading to cyst formation. Bartholin's cyst or other skin cyst or abscess collection should be ruled out. Most of these cyst will reduce on its own. Warm baths will help in draining the cyst. Hard lump may also be caused due to benign or malignant tumors which should also be ruled out.

Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
