What Causes Hard Lump Near The Site Of Hernia Surgery?
Hi, I had abdominal hernia surgery in 2011 from a hernia I got after a c-section. Sometime after the surgery, I noticed a hard lump near the site of the hernia surgery. It doesn t get any bigger. Sometime it is sore if it is bumped, if I sleep on my belly, or hold my son for a long period. There is no skin redness. I also noticed it gets sore when I get my period. I had my primary care doctor take a look an he feels it is scar tissue. Should this happen still so long after the surgery. Does it ever go away?
Good day and thanks for your question. Have you been able to get pregnant after your last baby in 2011? The key point you mentioned here is that it get sore during your menstrual period. Please kindly visit your gynecologist to complain about it. Am thinking what you might have is Endometriosis, might be an endometrial tissue. But please answer the question I asked and have a gynecologist review. Hope it helps. Thank you.
