What Causes Hard Lump On Back Around The Lung Area?

Hi, I have found a lump its quiet hard. Its on the right side of my back, around the lung area. Its under the skin. Its scaring me a little as I ve had problems breathing during the night where I feel as though I ve stopped breathing for a split second then gasp for air, wondering if this is connected. Thankyou. Thank you for contacting HCM with your health care concerns

You noticed a lump in your back along with some discomfort breathing. The two are not related. The lump that you are feeling could be a number of things including a growth of fatty tissue called a lipoma or a fibrous tissue called a fibroma. Both of these growths are benign and need not worry you.

Your shortness of breath could be caused by asthma or if you smoke emphysema. The catching of your breath is a normal function related to build up of carbon dioxide in the bloodstream and is completely normal.

I don't feel you have anything to worry about
