Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
I have a fairly large lump on the calf of my left leg. Approx. 4 inches down from my knee in the middle of my calf. No pain but is hard and large. I am a 19 year old male. I ve had it since I can remember. It grows as my calf grows so pressuming it s also muscle.
Thanks for your consultation at HCM! After going through your history, it is quite difficult to diagnose and comment about the calf swelling. You should be examined properly by a surgeon..the site , size, colour , consistency , tenderness everything about the swelling should be examined properly... Some probable differentials are calf muscle hematoma ,lipoma or any benign swelling.. It may be a simple muscle hypertrophy but again you should be seen by your doctor as seeing is believing..... Hope your query is adequately answered... If you still have any feel free to ask... Regard. Dr Saad Sultan
