Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
There is a small little hard lump the size of a seed from an apple on my knee. Its on the left side of my knee and I can move it side to side and up and down. My mom says its just a boil like A pimple under the skin but I don t understand how I can move it. And she s not a doctor so idk. And it doesn t hurt it just feels weird when I touch it.
Understanding your concern. As per your query you have hard lump on the knee . Well there can be many reasons for symptoms you mention in query like infection , bakers cyst, sebaceous cyst , varicose vein , ganglion , lymphadenopathy or knee injury. I would suggest you to Consult orthopedic surgeon for proper examination . Doctor may order CT scan , MRI or physical examination to check tenderness and consistency . Doctor may prescribe antibiotics at least for 5 days along with anti inflammatory . Doctor may also recommend surgical removal of cyst and refer you to general surgeon . For now apply warm compresses , knee your leg elevated while sleeping and take ibuprofen or amphetamine for pain .
Hope your concern has been resolved.
Get Well Soon.
Best Wishes, Dr. Harry Maheshwari
