In centre of palm have more harder skin which is applying a gel ointment to relief but no permanent cure was able to find. i have dark marks all over my palm. Please help me to find some permanent cure .
The symptoms are suggestive of a condition called hyperkeratosis, it is an inborn condition and can not be cured completely, however we can very well control the condition with proper treatment.
Topical steroids like Triamcinolone are the treatment of choice. You can also apply emollient creams like Vaseline for symptomatic relief. Consult a dermatologist and he will explain various treatment options.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Wishing you all the best.
Regards,
Dr. Shinas Hussain, General & Family Physician
