It is important consulting with a neurologist for a physical exam. The muscle stiffness could be related to many neurological disorder and further tests may be needed to investigate for the possible causes (brain and spine MRI, vitamin B12 plasma levels, vitamin D plasma levels, etc.). You should discuss with your doctor on the above tests.
Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.
