I am 32 and a former light smoker. I have recently been experiencing mild shortness of breath and sporadic mild chest pain. My MD sent me for a chest x-ray and it showed a haziness in my left lung. they are sending me for more tests but I want to know what could be causing the haziness. I'm very scared.
Haziness in the lung is very nonspecific term. There are many causes for it. Like pneumonia, old fibrotic lesions, pulmonary TB etc. Since you are having symptoms more chances of pneumonia than other things. So get done other blood investigation. CT thorax with contrast can also be done for further evaluation.
