Hi, the other day I walked into a doorway when I was trying to find the bathroom in the middle of the night. My right side of my face made impact with the door. After that, The right hand side of my head hurts every time I bend over. How do I know if I've been concussed? Thanks
Hi there, I am Dr. Deepak, I work in Emergency Department, Where I come across many of my patient who had suffered head injury. As you have told you had injured you head in the night as your face made impact with the door. I can see that you are having trouble due to headache which hurts every time you bend over. I feel you had sustained mild head injury, Given that you are healthy young individual with no other problem. I can tell that because you didn't loose consciousnesses, there was no vomiting, you are not feeling dizzy. I think you are sinusitis problem, if you can take care of your sinusitis then your headache should also go off. Its the kind of headache which increases on bending froward. For that you can take steam inhalation, drink masale tea, with honey and ginger in it. Thank you, I hope your concern was dealt with and hope that you recover soon.
