For about two weeks off & on the right side of my head, face, & behind my right ear feels like it has fallen asleep. I ve felt this when I was lying on the left side of the pillow or my head on the headboard. I also have sensation in my right shoulder. Could my symptoms be coming from the pinched nerve on the right side of my lower back or is it possible I now have a pinched nerve near my neck or upper back?
Hello! I read carefully your question and understand your concern. In my opinion the problems you have may be cause by contractions of the back of the head and neck muscles. There are different causes : a wrong position during the day or a nerve compression from a degeneration of a disk in the cervical part of your column. I would recommend to consult with your GP, have a good physical examination, and a cervical column xray. If problems are encountered you may need to do a cervical column CT scan to examine better the anatomical parts of the column and find out the problem. Hope to have been of help! Best wishes!
