Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
i have been suffering head and facial numbness tingling pins and needles in head and face for over 5 years. Also facial tics, fluttering feelings in head too ,always the right side. i take seretide for asthma and diclofenac for athritis in shoulders and spine. i was told at first i had bells palsy as my mouth sometimes droops, then told i had a migraine disorder, now been told i may have peripheral neuropathy, although my doctor disagrees with hospital, MRI was clear.
As per your query you have head and facial numbness and you are on steroid and diclofenac . Well there can be many reasons for symptoms you mention in query like bell's palsy , trigeminal neuralgia , cervical spondolysis , muscle spam and some nerve damage . I would you to consult neurologist and oral maxilofacial surgeon . Doctor may order CT scan , blood test and ask you to do certain movement . Doctor may prescribe anti inflammatory , supplements like neurobion forte and recommend physical therapy for compressed or pinched nerve . Foe now do facial muscle exercise and apply warm compresses to face .
Hope your concern has been resolved.
Get Well Soon.
Best Wishes, Dr. Harry Maheshwari
