What Causes Head Discomfort And Dehydration On Running?

When running, i experience discomforts. It feels like my head is sort of moving/reacting slower than usual, and it also feels pressured, kind of like i can feel my pulse in my head. Furthermore, it seems as if i m dehydrating quickly, even though i always drink a lot before the run. But afterwards and often also during, my urine is yellow when it was white before the run.

Thanks for posting your query to Healthcaremagic .

As of your urine color is concerned it is normal for urine to become darker after any kind of exercise , so don't worry about it .

Coming to your Head discomfort and pressure , I need to know since when you are having this problem ?
What makes you feel that you are reacting slower than usual ?
Is there any dizziness or vomiting sensation ?
Is there any chest pain ?

Your problem could be due to 2 reasons :
1. Low blood sugars during exercise : Solution --Have a light snack ( 2-3 biscuits ) or drink fruit juice instead of water before and during exercise .

2. Heart Problem : If there is some problem in your heart exercise puts more pressure on it so blood is not pumped effectively and hence less blood to brain causing your symptoms .

I advise you to follow my instructions as advised above . If problem persists get a 2D ECHO done and consult a Physician .
