Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
I ve just experienced a strange feeling while sitting in a chair watching tv. It was like a head rush, with the sensation of going to faint, but not passing out. It felt like a wave going up my body and to my head, and when it reached my head I felt like everything around me was muffled, and I wasn t in my body. After it left me I just felt hot and shaky, but my head went back to normal, I have fainted before and I am on blood pressure tablets and cholesterol tablets, but the last time I fainted I was told my blood pressure had hit the floor. This feeling was extremely frightening tonight and I m worried that it will happen again when I am on my own. My husband was here tonight and got me water and cooled me off.
we need to know about your age and other history of having any blackouts in the past for other than lowered blood pressure causes. IF YOU HAD THE BP LOWERING incidents before many times, please check your heart . AND please be careful with your cholesterol.get an ECG check as well as routinely keep a track of your BP. Get your sugars checked, sometimes low sugars cause fainting. ARE U AROUND 45-50 years then check with your gyanec about hot flushes that can occur due hormonal imbalance (pcod, menopause etc)
