What Causes Headache After Having A Blow To The Head?

My mom and I were messing around and I hit her in the back of the head with a pillow and she instantly felt dizzy and had a headache. The dizziness went away in the matter of minutes but now she is saying the head ache has gotten worse. could this be a concussion, just something from the blow to the back of the head, or something serious?

Critical Care Specialist 's  Response
Hello,

I have gone through your history, to me, it looks like concussion injury, it always better to rule out such things. If such a patient comes to me in the clinic, I would suggest to him/her the following advice

1) Good analgesics
2) Get a CT Scan brain

So I suggest you consult with your family physician immediately.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Mohammed Abdullah
