Hi,I am Dr. Subhankar Chakraborty (Gastroenterologist). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
I have had migraines behind my eye for years now...And these past 4 months they have been getting more frequent...maybe 2-3 times per week where before they'd maybe happen 2-4 times a month and its almost always on my right eye and very rarely on my left. It starts off with pressure behind my eye and in 5-20 minutes it turns into an excruciating throbbing pain associated with vomiting and my stomach being upset and light and sound sensitivity. I was just wondering what kind of headache it was and if there is any way to prevent it so i don't suffer from migraines anymore and if i have a migraine disorder??
Retrobulbar pain is may be due to migraine, optic neuritis, infections, neuro sarcoidosis, retrobulbar neuritis or B12 deficiency etcetera. Until examination is done, it is difficult to say what it is.
Upset stomach may be due to food poisoning or Irritable Bowel syndrome or Infection. Avoid spicy food and alcohol avoid smoking and caffeine drinks.
Use tablet pantoprazole before breakfast for one week. If symptoms not improved, please consult your doctor he will examine and treat you accordingly.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
