What Causes Headache And Breathing Difficulty After Exposure To Paint Fumes?
I spray painted a lot of blocks about 3.5 weeks ago. It was in a poorly ventilated room but as I don t paint very often I didn t think to use a mask. We did blow a fan into the room to circulate the air. Since then, I have had frequent minor headaches and have trouble getting enough air when I exercise. What can be done to help get back to normal?
Understanding your concern. As per your query you are having symptoms headache and breathing difficulty after exposure to paint fumes after inhaling plastic fumes which occur mainly due to allergic response/ reaction due to volatile contents , which can be poisonous. As these fumes are volatile they can cause headaches, respiratory problem and pain in chest and throat. Need not to worry. I would suggest you to consult doctor for proper examination without any delay and rule out condition like poisoning. Doctor may prescribe anti emetic drug to exhale contents, antihistamine , steroid injection , analgesic. Ranitidine is effective for this. Use water based eye drops. For now take some fresh air and drink plenty of water and milk which will be helpful .
Hope your concern has been resolved.

Best Wishes, Dr. Harry Maheshwari
