What Causes Headache And Bump After A Head Injury?
Age:19, HT: 5'3", WT: 138 I fainted and hit my head 3 days ago. It still hurts like I have a headache and now I notice there is a line where the bump was. Its scabbing in that area. There was no bleeding or anything at the time. When I fainted I did knock out and was shaking uncontrollably. Should I be concerned?
Hi there, I am Dr. Deepak, I work in Emergency Department, where I see many patients with injury to there head. As you have told that you had injured yourself 3 days back and now you have noticed a bump, there is scabbing in that area. The important point to consider now is How are you feeling now? If you are feeling okay now, able to do all the activities that you used to do earlier, and able enjoy your life in the same way. then their is nothing to worry about. We in our ER Observe a patient with head injury for 24 hours, if he is not showing any signs of problem then he is discharged home. The scar will take some more time to heal properly, You just need to wait. Thank you Hope your concern was dealt with and you have a speedy recovery.
