What Causes Headache And Jaw Pain While Having Congestive Heart Failure?
Hello - I have a question regarding my the pain my husband is experiencing. He has pain over the right forehead and in the right jaw. He has congestive heart failure, AFIB, and has an ICD. He had cataract surgery on the LEFT eye last week, which was successful. He has taken the saline sinus rinse, Tylenol and the pain has subsided to a 4. Could the pain be caused by a forthcoming sinus infection - he is prone to them? Thank you.
* If the vital parameters of blood pressure are normal and there is no associated chest pain like cardiac symptoms, headache and jaw pain relate to underlying sinus congestion or infection most likely.
My guidelines at present
- inhalation of vapors of boiled water added tincture benzoin
- continue Tylenol intake in recommended doses only
- avoid exposure to pollen, dust
- use face mask wisely
- continue cardiac medications in prescribed schedules only
- avoid weight-bearing or strenuous work
- discuss the need for antibiotics or other supportive therapy with your consultant
- avoid smoking if applicable.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Take care
Regards,
Dr Bhagyesh V. Patel, General Surgeon
