Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
I woke up not feeling very well. Slight headache. I noticed two lumps (not large) on the left side of my neck towards the back. As the day has worn on my headache has gotten worse and it has became very uncomfortable to turn my head in either direction. I am uninsured and don t know what to do.
Hello, Welcome to HCM. I understand your concern. Do you have any other complains like pain in throat, ear? Do you have fever? Do you have pain in lump? The lump in neck may be enlarged lymph nodes which might have occurred due to infection of throat or ear. Reason for headache may be sinus inflammation, migraine, viral infection or high blood pressure. Unability to turn head may be due to muscle stiffness because of viral infection or enlarged nodes. You need to have certain examination & investigations done to arrive at the conclusion. These are examination of lump & throat, blood counts with ESR, etc. Please visit nearest GP for this. Take care.
