What Causes Headache And Nausea In A Teenager?

My son is 14 years old and has never had many headaches in his life. Today he has a headache across his forehead and has nausea. Within the last two weeks he has had 3 of these types of headaches. He says being in a dark room with less noise does not help and ibuprofen has not been helping. What can I do to help him?

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello,

I think you should consult with a neurologist and run neurological examination first.

Then a further consultation with ENT doctor is highly recommended to rule out sinusitis. Should also check his teeth.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Take care

Regards,
Dr Albana Sejdini, General & Family Physician
