Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
Hi I ve been having the same stabbing headache on the left side of my head for a couple of weeks now. Then today I noticed I have have red lines on the whites of my eyes from the corners near my nose. When the pain hits it s so bad at that moment it feels like my head could blow up.
There are variety of headaches and each depend on different underlying cause. As it's on one side, mostly it's a tension headache. Is it on and off or continuously present for last couple of weeks?
I suggest you visit a neurologist as well as consult an ophthalmologist for the same. Sometimes headaches are related to eye power where using spectacles help a lot. But for this you need to undergo appropriate check-up.
Depending on the medical history your doctor will suggest appropriate medical treatment. You can take acetaminophen which will provide some relief.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Take care
Regards,
Dr. Manisha Auradkar, General & Family Physician
