What Causes Headache And Swelling Behind Ear After A Hair Cut?

After getting a hair cut my wife notice some swollen areas starting at my lower neck on the right side and extending behind my ear. They seem to have a tiny hole in the middle of each of these with the red spot a size from quarter inch to a larger size. I do not know if this relevant or not but the side of my face clear up to the midpoint of my skull feels some minor pain along with a sleep sensation on the side of my face with system of hair follicles feeling like pins when I rub my hand over the right side of my skull. This does not go past the mid-line of my head.

General Surgeon 's  Response
Hello,

If symptoms persist, it is better to consult a physician and get evaluated. As a first line management, you can take analgesics like Paracetamol or Aceclofenac for pain relief.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Take care

Regards,
Dr Shinas Hussain, General & Family Physician
