What Causes Headache And Swollen Feet While Suffering From Shingles?

my husband was diagnosed with shingles yesterday morning and is on famciclovir 500mg 3 times a day for 7 days along with calomine lotion with itch relief..he has several small rashes on torso and back of calves..dr said it was caught early...he has developed a headache, red irritated eyes, an the top of one of his feet is red, swollen and extremely painful no rash there...is the headache, eyes and foot swelling related to the shingles or reactions to the med? please advise..thank you

The above complaints are due to side effects of famciclovir. Side effects of the drug are mental/mood changes, dizziness, drowsiness, headache, eyebruising, eye bleeding, and diarrhea.
