What Causes Headache And Twitching Sensation On Right Side Of Face?

THE RIGHT SIDE OF MY FACE HAS BEEN TWITCHING OFF AND ON FOR ALMOST A WEEK. MY EYE HAS TWITCHED OCCASIONALLY OFF AND ON FOR COUPLE OF YEARS. I NOTICED A STARTED GETTING A READ BAD HEADACHE AND COULDN T GET IT TO GO AWAY ABOUT A WEEK AGO AS WELL. I M NOT SURE IF THE HEADACHES AND FACIAL TWITCHING ARE RELATED OR NOT.... THERE IS NO PAIN WITH THE TWITCHING BUT IT IS VISIBLE. WHAT COULD BE CAUSING THIS?

Hi.
Welcome to HCM..

As per your complain it seems that the symptoms of facial twitching on one side with headache seems to be due to Hemifacial Spasms and occurs commonly due to disorders or disturbances associated with Facial Nerve that is seventh cranial nerve and supplies muscles of face..
Any compression caused by a major artery or any tumor or other causes like Viral infiltration of the nerve or traumatic injury can cause the following symptoms..
Other cause can be Trigeminal Neuralgia..
I would suggest you to consult a Neurophysician and get evaluated and a thorough clinical evaluation and investigations like MRI scan, Electromyogram, Nerve conduction velocity can help in diagnosis and treatment can be done accordingly..
You can be given medication like Carbamazepine, Phenytoin while treatments like Botox injection or surgical correction of compressed nerve root can be done..
