What Causes Headache, Dizziness And Black Eye After A Head Injury?
I got hit in the head Thursday night with a foul ball at my daughters softball game... I am still slightly dizzy and have a headache.. feels like someone is squeezing my head.. I woke up yesterday with a black eye and it s progressively becoming blacker and moving down my face... I dont know what to do
Understanding your concern. As per your query you have headache, dizziness and black eye after a head injury . Well small headaches are common after a head injury and should subside on its own or with mild painkillers like paracetamol.Black eye is due to hematoma or subdural hemorrhage . Here are some of the red flags which you should be aware of 1. If the pain does not subside or increases even after 2 days or if there are any unusual symptoms like confusion, altered consciousness or severe headache , then consult neurologist without any delay to rule out condition like concussion . Doctor may order CT scan or MRI and treat it accordingly . Doctor may drain the blood and recommend icing and various therapies .
