Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
I have had a left rear located headache for over a month.the only headaches I ever get are sinus but this is not that. The only things that help is caffeine (I don t normally drink caffeine). My dr has proscribed medication that is basically high dosage acetomenaphrin with caffeine and muscle relaxers. I have gone to chiropracters and massage therapists without much difference. My question is should I see another physician? The only relief I get is while on medication. A few years ago(10), I had one of those tests on my neck to see if there was a blockage for a stroke and they found minimal blockage. Does that factor into this?
The symptoms are consistent with common causes like a migraine or a tension headache, as a first line management, you can try analgesics like Aceclofenac or Tramadol for pain relief.
If symptoms persist, better to consult a neurologist and plan for an MRI brain to rule out possible intracranial (inside the brain) causes.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards,
Dr. Shinas Hussain,
General & Family Physician
