What Causes Headache, Jaw Pain And Ear Ache Post Head Injury?
one of my friend got badly abused. She has got beaten up heavily on her head by fists and is now having pain on bot sides of her head. Especially, by the temporal mandibular joint, ear, both sides of forehead. She has difficulty opening up mouth too and feels pain when chewing. And also not able to focus or read anything too much because of this head ache. She also feels pain inside the ear and cold air hurts too. Is this a serious case? How can it be healed?
The multiple assaultive trauma to various parts of face show up as multiple injuries involving muscle, tendon, ligament, soft tissue as well as bones. The inability to open the mouth may be part of damage to maxilla, one of the most common facial bones to get injured during fist injury. A detailed physical examination, series of X-rays in digital form with or without a CT brain without contrast is most needed demand of the case evaluation and guidelines accordingly.
Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.
