Hello,

You have a swelling in your head, a hematoma in the left forehead and you were informed that there isn't any bleeding from your brain but since you are having symptoms of confusion, co-ordination (feeling off balance) problems and headache you should consult your treating doctor and confirm if the hematoma is epidural or subdural.

Your symptoms are of a subdural hematoma which should be treated. If the hematoma is growing it is a of concern and should be informed to your treating doctor. In the meantime you can apply ice to the area for about 15-20 minutes. This will help to constrict, or shrink the blood vessels that may be damaged or bleeding. Untreated hematomas may manifest neurological issues later in life and may hinder the brain's ability to function properly. Get treated.

Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Nupur K., General & Family Physician
