What Causes Headache Post Head Injury?

I fell while drunk one week ago. I dont normally drink to much. But i was in a foreign Country and beer was too strong and i blanked out and fell hitting my head a few times. Gash on my forehead which i should have got stitched but did not. Bumps and bruises all over and still head aches all the time. Could i have done permanent damage or will the pain go away. ? Thanks Kevin here

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello,

The symptoms seem to be related to the injury. I suggested going to the emergency room to evaluate the situation. Meanwhile, you can use anti-inflammatory medication such as Ibuprofen for the pain. You can also use ice compresses for local application.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Take care

Regards,

Dr Dorina Gurabardhi, General & Family Physician
