Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
Hi Doctor, I had a head collision with my wife day before yesterday. She got hit in the forehead just at the point of eyebrow junction. She still has the pain and sometimes feel headache as well. There is no bump or any irregularity from outside. What could be the reason and what can be done?
Thank you for using “Ask a doctor” to post your health query. I read carefully your question and I understand your concern.
It is normal to have pain when a hit has happened before 2 days. The tissues there have been damaged, and need their time to recover. But what you are describing seems like the hit was not big as to cause fracture in the bones of the head, neither damage of the blood vessels locally. So this is good.
The headaches may be present because of the concussion. Something very important that you should be careful to notice is if your wife does any weird action, or if the headaches and the pain gets worse or not better by using simple painkillers. Then is the time to see a local doctor or go to the emergency room as soon as possible. She should rest and avoid big stress these first days when it is possible.
Hope this is helpful. Let me know if you need more clarifications.
Regards, Dr. Papaqako
