What Causes Headache, Sore Throat And Tender Neck?

I had a headache yesterday originating from the back of my neck yesterday this morning I woke up with soreness and tenderness on the front left of my neck. No sore throat and I don t believe any swollen glands. Mild ache is continuous and pressing on the area is more painful and tender. Should I get it checked out or give it a few days?

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello
Since these symptoms are for three days . No doubt there is tenderness also present but due to soreness in the throat pain may develop in neck as well as side of neck .
In my opinion simple tylenol ( paracetamol ) 10-12 mg / kg body weight for 3-4 times for 5-7 days is sufficient .
No need of any tension .
If these symptoms aggravate then consult a physician .
Hot saline gargles will help you.
I find this answer helpful
