Hello!
Thank you for asking on HCM!
Regarding your concern, I would like to explain that headache may be a nonspecific symptoms of many general health conditions like : an infection, chronic anemia, inflammation, blood electrolytes imbalance,
depression, anxiety, metabolic disorders, etc.
So it is true that a
kidney infection, could cause a similar clinical scenario.
Regarding the
abdominal pain, a kidney infection can mimic labor cramps.
I recommend consulting with your attending physician and perform a good physical examination, a routine
blood test, an urine analysis, kidney and liver function tests, blood electrolytes and an abdominal
ultrasound, to examine better your situation.
An urine culture may be needed to find out the type of infection and the proper therapy.
Hope to have been of help!
Greetings!
Dr. Aida
