Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
I m 35 and had tonsils removed today. Since I woke up after surgery around 10am I ve had a severe headache. It doesn t ease up when I take the pain meds. Its between my eyes and goes towards back of my head. I don t recall ever having my head hurt this bad.
It might be due to tonsil removal. I advise to continue taking pain killers as recommended by your doctor. Keep well hydrated although you might feel pain. If you do not drink enough fluids, you might get dehydrated, and this will also cause headache. If still no improvement, should get back to your doctor to check out.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards,
Dr. Albana Sejdini, General & Family Physician
