High blood pressure causes headache and uneasiness if left untreated. You need to cut down your salt and caffeine intake to control blood pressure.
Avoid processed foods, salt preserved foods like pickles, canned foods, packaged and ready-to-eat foods, salted chips, butter, biscuits etc.
Avoid sprinkling extra salt on foods and salads.
Use herbs like mint, coriander, pepper, vinegar and lemon for seasoning and as salad dressings.
Read food labels for sodium content on packaged foods.
Limit intake of caffeine from tea, coffee, chocolate and cola drinks.
Prefer green tea, weak tea, decaffeinated coffee.
Avoid alcohol and
smoking as they raise blood pressure.
