What Causes Headache, Vertigo And Hearing Loss In One Ear?
A 50-year-old woman is admitted with chief complaints of headache and decreased range of motion in her neck. She also complains of vertigo, hearing loss in one ear, profuse sweating, and uncontrollable eye movements. Her past medical history indicates that she was in a motor vehicle accident three days before her admission.
Understanding your concern. As per your query you have symptoms of headache, vertigo and hearing loss in one ear. Well sometimes infection occurs due to reasons like meniere's disease , local or generalized alteration in blood pressure , inner ear infection and it leads to these symptoms. It could be due to sensorineural hearing loss. Need not to worry. You should not touch or prick ear with any sharp instrument. You should maintain cleanliness of area. I would suggest you to consult ENT specialist again for proper diagnosis. Doctor will examine with otoscope , order CT scan, hearing loss tests and MRI.
