What Causes Headache While Opening Eyes After Waking Up?

I see lines on the wall upon waking up. To give a good description they look almost exactly like the reflection of water. Although these are still and last about 20 seconds after I open my eyes. I ve been also having random headaches (the paon feels all around my head not just in one side) and the occasional motion sickness (I don t feel dizzy, just nausea and a headache)

Hi,

Reasons for seeing lines after you wake up: abnormality in the tear film, deposit in the tear layer when u are sleeping, they cause shadow which are visible when you wake up. they disappear as you blink and smoothen your tear film.

Headache can be due to many factors foremost can be sinusitis, disturbed sleep or overwork on previous night. In your case it can be due to sinusitis and in that case oral intake of antihistamine (cetrizine Tab at night) will help.

Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
