What Causes Headache, nausea And Dizziness After A Head Injury?

My son fell and hit his head on a desk at work. He was not unconscious but was shaking. He went to the ER but not for a couple days. They checked him out, no xray, and said he was fine but to take it easy. He also went to his regular doctor and he said the same thing. Both took his blood pressure and it was fine. He then went to a neurological doctor who said he was fine. He still gets headaches,he s nausea, dizzy and he can t handle the hot weather like he used to. He also gets goosebumps when he is outside. What could he be experiencing and should he get a cat scan?

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello,

Yes. If I were your treating doctor I would like to do CT head to rule out serious condition like intra cranial haemorrhage or hematoma formation. Nauseating feeling after head injury are usually due to raised intracranial pressure or mass. Get your CT head done and feel free to contact me.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Take care
