What Causes Headaches After Head Surgery Done In Childhood?
Hi we had got into a car accident around 15 years back and at that time my daughter who was 5 years old was hit by a rock/huge stone in the left side of the head She was unconscious for 2 days and after coming to senses she couldn t speak for 24 hrs after that she was perfectly fine But doctors suggested to do a surgery and a metal plate was inserted in the head surgery went fine one could notice a 2/3 lumps and feel as if something is not It s place or if something is inserted. She has grown up normally and fine as a normal child but she had few complaints of headache specially on the lumps what could be the reason
dear ma,am /sir hello i have gone through your daughter.s medical history in detail. its not clear ,what surgery was performed at that time . but if she has regular headaches & lumps at local area of scalp ,you should go for a CT SCAN brain to rule out any lesion/ hydrocephalous . till that time you can give her some analgesics for symptomatic relief
thanx dr praveen k nath director deptt. of neurosurgery
