What Causes Headaches After Taking Cozaar?

Just began taking Cozaar for hypertension. I have a slight headache each time I take the drug. Will the headaches get worse? Should I tell my doctor to switch to another medication. Also my blood pressure is still in the 160/96 range. I have only taken the medication since last Thursday.

Hello! Welcome to HealthcareMagic!

There I have read through your questions and understand your concern. Cozaar contains Losartan which is an angiotensin receptor antagonist. It may cause heads in some people as a side-effect. I would advise you to consult your physician and get yourself switched to a different antihypertensive like Amlodipine or Atenolol.

I hope that answers your question. If you have any further questions please feel free to write. Thank you for choosing healthcare magic.

Take care

Regards,
