What Causes Headaches Along With Abdominal Pain In A Child?

Hi, my son 4 and half yrs old , is running slight temprature during the day and it increases in the evening (i feel this originated from throat infection and cough) - though he remains active. the temperature increases at night further when he asleep. then use cold towels to control it. this has been since last three days.. and from yesterday he is complaining of headache at the back of the head near nape and stomach ache as well. We have been giving him Calpol for fever and Relent for Cough.. what should we give him ??

Welcome to the HCM.
Dear first of all I would like to ask that why do you feel that it can be because of throat infection..Has he symptoms of pain in throat or signs of inflamation in throat.
As the causes of swinging fever can be malaria,Tuberculosis,any bacterial infection ,urinary tract infection .But as he has history of headache at the back of head and abdominal pain ,he might be having spreading of infection through different parts of body like menigitis (brain infection) etc.
I would suggest that get full blood count with malarial parasite,x-ray chest,stool test ,urine test done first.He may require lumbar puncture test but after discussing with his treating doctor.Since it might be bacterial infection ,so he may needs prompt consultation from paediatrician and examined thoroughly and course of antibiotics for 1 to 2 weeks accordingly.
