What Causes Headaches And Constant Throat Irritation?
I have mild headaches and sometimes a scratchy throat. Physical activity seems to agravate the symptoms. I have been treating it as a low grade virus by staying warm, drinking plenty of liquids and minimal activity. However after 6 weeks I still have it. I was at my doctor s office two weeks ago for an annual physical and discussed this with him. He did not have any additional advice for me other than continuing what I am currently doing. Steve
You are having scratchy throat and headache so probably pharyngitis like posterior pharynx inflammation can be there. Symptomatic management done with more water and drink warm water for drinking. Avoid excess spicy foods and fatty meals. Salt water gargle is helpful. Vitamin C lozenges useful if chewed three times a day If no improvement than throat swab can be taken for culture and your Auscultation should be done. Acid reflux also should be ruled out as it leads to irritation.
Hypoglycemia, high blood pressure, lack of sleep, overwork, dehydration like factors ruled out for headache. Consult physician for examination with keeping all this in mind.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
